Living and Working in Our Community

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we are on Turtle Island in the Traditional Territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Ojibwe and others. We also acknowledge the Lake Simcoe / Nottawasaga Treaty of 1818. As settlers, we are grateful for the opportunity to be here and thank the generations of people who have taken care of this land for millennia. We recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit and other Indigenous peoples in shaping and strengthening our community, Ontario and Canada. Let us take inspiration from the spirit of “The Dish With One Spoon”, sharing this land together and honouring our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.
